What makes a man persist when the odds are long against him? What makes him dance to a different drummer, when life would be much easier and more profitable if he joined the main stream band? Dr. Leo J. Bolles, M.D. of Bellevue Washington, is a case in point. Dr. Bolles has been battling the state's medical bureaucracy for a generation and he is still at it. Dick

At the age of 78, Dr. Bolles was coerced into retirement by the Medical Quality Assurance Commission. Charges were raised against him in the light of his use of Alternative and Complementary Medicine. Dr. Bolles remains committed to alternative therapies despite this opposition because he deems it most beneficial for his former patients' health and welfare. He continues to be involved in the management of the Bolles Clinic and presents lectures to teach others about Alternative Medicine. Dr. Bolles and others in the field of Alternative Medicine feel MQAC unfairly targets Alternative Medicine practitioners. He would like to request your continued support in this struggle with the MQAC. Please contact the Medical Quality Assurance Commission, your elected officials, your insurance companies, and mainstream doctors to let them know how you feel about Alternative Medicine. |
